Founded in 1936 by chef Marius Vettard, the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises association brings together renowned chefs and pastry chefs, guardians of Lyon's culinary heritage and ambassadors of French gastronomy. Since its creation, the association has been committed to promoting excellence, generosity, commitment and audacity in the culinary field.
The missions of the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises include the transmission of know-how to younger generations, support for noble causes such as the Saint-Irénée Foundation and the France Alzheimer Foundation, as well as the promotion of emerging talents through the organization of competitions and participation in major gastronomic events.
Today, the association has around 140 members, including sommeliers, dining room managers, cheesemakers, charcutiers, pastry chefs and chefs based abroad, all united by a passion for gastronomy and the desire to promote Lyonnaise and French cuisine throughout the world.
